My interest in photography started while attending Lexington High School in Massachusetts. My first solo exhibit took place at the Carey Memorial Library. Following high school, I studied fine art at the Montserrat School of Visual Arts and later photography as a fine art at Rochester Institute of Technology. At R.I.T. I learned the importance of knowing the science behind the art. The professor that made the most lasting impression was the well known, Owen Butler.
My goal is for each photograph to be an opening line in a novel. From there the viewer will begin to create the rest of the story. The story could be one of beauty or sometimes it’s a sad tale. All of my printed photography is of archival quality and should last a lifetime if properly handled.
My fine art photography has won numerous awards. Some of the most recent were first place in the People/Portrait category in the 2015 Nevada Magazine photography roundup, Best of Show for the 2015 Summer Show at the Nevada Artists Association Gallery, first place in the 2015 Nevada Day show also at the NAA Gallery and Best of Show at the 2016 Delicato Winery Photography Show.
For the last twenty plus years I have lived in Douglas County, Nevada. It is here in northern Nevada that most of my images are taken and are for sale at the Nevada Artists Association, Carson City and online at Saatchi Art; https://www.saatchiart.com/. Stay tuned for in 2018 announcements on two new galleries where my newest work will be exhibited.
